As part of Energy Saving Week 2026, we’re sharing information about trusted organisations and services that can help you manage energy costs, understand your household bills and access practical support.

Energy use and money worries can often overlap, particularly during the winter months. If you’re feeling unsure or concerned about your bills, there is support available, you don’t have to manage it alone.

Support from our Money Advice Team

If you’re a Trivallis tenant and finding energy bills or wider household costs difficult to manage, our Money Advice Team is here to help.

They offer free, confidential support and can help you with:

  • understanding your energy bills and household outgoings
  • looking at affordable payment options
  • checking what support or schemes you may be eligible for
  • signposting to trusted external organisations where needed

You don’t need to wait until a situation becomes urgent. Support is available if you’re worried about costs or would simply like some guidance. Email our Money Advice Team on mondayadvice@trivallis.co.uk or call 01443 494560.

Talking to your energy supplier

If you’re struggling to pay your energy bills, it’s a good idea to contact your energy supplier as early as possible.

Under rules set by Ofgem, energy suppliers must work with you to agree a payment plan that you can afford. This could include spreading payments, offering breathing space, or discussing alternative options.

If you’re unsure what to say, Trivallis’ Money Advice Team can help you prepare for that conversation.

Citizens Advice

Citizens Advice provides free, confidential and impartial advice on a wide range of issues, including energy bills and money matters.

They can help with:

  • understanding energy bills and payment methods
  • checking eligibility for schemes such as the Warm Home Discount
  • advice if you’re struggling with debt or keeping up with household costs

Advice is available online, by phone on 0800 702 2020, and through local Citizens Advice offices.

National Energy Action (NEA)

National Energy Action is a charity focused on energy advice and support for people affected by fuel poverty.

They can help with:

  • energy efficiency and bill advice
  • guidance on energy support schemes
  • links to additional trusted services offering help with energy and household costs

Their website also signposts to further support options if you need extra help.

If you’re worried about energy costs, reaching out early can make a real difference. Support is available, and there are people and organisations ready to help you understand your options and take the next step.
