Tenant Power in Action

21 October 2025

Together We’re Making a Difference

At Trivallis, tenant involvement isn’t just something we do. It’s at the heart of how we work. Our tenants are helping to shape services, improve neighbourhoods and build stronger, more connected communities across Rhondda Cynon Taf.

Over the past year, more tenants than ever have taken the lead, sharing ideas and working with staff to make real change happen.

From involvement to impact

Here’s just a glimpse of what we have achieved together:

  • Eight Great Estate Days brought tenants, staff and local partners together to improve neighbourhoods and build community pride.
  • Tenants helped shape key decisions on repairs, complaints, recruitment and contracts, ensuring real experiences guide how we work.
  • Over £32,000 in community grants supported 42 tenant-led projects, from local events to wellbeing activities and food pantries.
  • Communities such as Penrhys, Cwmbach and Cae Fardre led their own initiatives, transforming spaces, tackling isolation and bringing neighbours together.
  • Our teams trained in Asset-Based Community Development, focusing on people’s strengths and helping communities to grow from within.

Real stories, real change

“Doing this gives me something to get up for each day. I’ve met new people, helped my community, and found my confidence again.”
– Tenant volunteer

From tenants leading local events to influencing decisions at Board level, this is what tenant power looks like in action. Together, we are showing what is possible when people are given the opportunity and confidence to make a difference where they live.
