This summer, T-Fest is hitting the road.

Following the success of last year’s T-Fest, we’re taking the energy, creativity and community spirit directly into neighbourhoods across our communities.

But this year is different.

Rather than bringing an event to communities, we’re inviting community groups to become part of the T-Fest journey by hosting an event in their area.

We’re looking for groups with ideas, enthusiasm and a passion for bringing people together. Whether you’re planning something completely new or looking to enhance an existing event, T-Fest on the Road could help make it happen.

Six communities will be selected to take part.

Are You a Red Dragon?

Across Wales, the red dragon represents strength, passion and pride.

We’re looking for Red Dragons – people and groups who are passionate about bringing their communities together and helping local people connect, celebrate and get involved.

Could that be your group?

What Successful Groups Receive

Each selected group will receive:

  • £1,500 towards their event
  • Inclusion in the T-Fest on the Road programme
  • The travelling T-Fest Dragon experience
  • Support from Trivallis to promote the event
  • A Trivallis T-Fest stand at the event

The Travelling Dragon

As part of the roadshow, our travelling dragon will visit every selected community.

Residents will be invited to add a dragon scale sharing:

  • What they love about where they live
  • What makes their community special
  • Their hopes for the future

Together, these scales will create a powerful symbol of community pride across all six communities.

What Are We Looking For?

We want to support groups that can show how T-Fest funding will help bring more tenants and community members together.

Applications should tell us:

  • What event or activity you’re proposing
  • How you’ll use the £1,500
  • How the funding will increase participation
  • Why the event matters to your community
  • Evidence that local people support your idea

Priority will be given to applications that demonstrate strong community backing, clear benefit to local people and good value for money.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can apply?

Applications must come from a constituted community group, organisation or association with a bank account in the organisation’s name.

Unfortunately, we cannot pay funding into personal bank accounts.

Can we apply for an existing event?

Yes.

Funding can be used to support a brand-new event or enhance an existing community event, celebration, fair or gathering.

What can the funding be spent on?

Funding can support activities that help bring people together, including:

  • Entertainment
  • Equipment hire
  • Food and refreshments
  • Children’s activities
  • Workshops
  • Community engagement activities

We’ll ask you to explain how the funding will be used as part of your application.

What do you mean by “evidence of support”?

We want to know that local people are behind your idea.

Evidence could include:

  • Support from local people or organisations
  • Previous attendance figures
  • Social media engagement
  • Expressions of interest from residents
  • Community surveys or feedback

You don’t need to provide all of these – just show us there is enthusiasm for your event.

How will applications be selected?

Applications will be reviewed by a panel of Trivallis colleagues and involved tenants.

Panel members with a connection to an application will declare an interest and take no part in assessing that bid.

The panel will consider:

  • Community support
  • Potential to bring people together
  • Impact on the local community
  • Proposed use of funding
  • Geographic spread across communities

Will Trivallis run the event?

No.

Events remain community-led.

However, Trivallis will attend each selected event with a T-Fest stand and the travelling dragon as part of the wider campaign.

Some check will be needed to ensure the event is safe and compliant.

How many events will be funded?

Six communities will be selected across our operating areas.
