Trecynon Decides

£3,673.13 funding available for local projects

As part of the new homes development on Windsor Street, Trivallis has worked with contractors Prestige Homes to secure £3,673.13 in community benefits funding.

This money is for the community, and the important part is that you decide how it is spent.

What is Community Benefits

When new homes are built, contractors are asked to give something back to the local area. The Community Benefits Fund is designed to support local ideas, groups, and priorities.

The fund is about local people shaping the future of Trecynon. Trivallis will support the process, but the decisions belong to the community.

What Can Be Funded

The Community Benefits Fund can support:

  • Local projects, groups, or activities that bring people together in Trecynon and surrounding areas

  • Ideas that improve life in the local area

  • Projects or activities that benefit the wider community

What Cannot Be Funded

To keep the process fair and inclusive, the fund cannot support:

  • Staff wages

  • Religious or political activities

  • Projects that only benefit a small number of individuals

  • Groups with an income over £100,000

Because the fund is limited, we encourage you to request only what is needed. This allows more ideas to be supported and maximizes community impact.

Support for Funding

If a proposal is not fully funded, Interlink can provide match funding or help access other funding opportunities to bring your project to life.

How to Take Part

To take part in Trecynon Decides:

  1. Share what you value about living in Trecynon

  2. Submit your ideas for projects or improvements and the difference they could make

  3. Join the pitch day to hear other ideas and learn more. Details will be confirmed shortly

All ideas will be gathered, shared with the community, and the community will decide where the money goes.

Why This Matters

This fund provides an opportunity to:

  • Strengthen the things already great about Trecynon

  • Support local groups and initiatives

  • Build stronger connections between neighbours

Trivallis will support the process, but the decisions belong to local people.

Submission Deadline

The form for project submissions will close on Wednesday 18 March 2026 at 12pm. Any requests made after this time will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
