Meet Kacey, Trivallis’ Business Admin Apprentice

11 February 2025

To celebrate Apprenticeship Week, we caught up with Kacey Davies, a Trivallis tenant who joined Trivallis back in August as a Business Admin apprentice in the Community Involvement Team.

To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, we caught up with Kacey Davies, a Trivallis tenant who joined Trivallis back in August as a Business Admin apprentice in the Community Involvement Team.

Just over six months later, Kacey shares a bit about her role, what she’s enjoyed so far and what she’s looking forward to.

Kacey explains: “In my role I work with the team to engage with our tenants through tenant involvement activities. This could be through working groups with our involved tenants or out at community events. We support tenants to make decisions by having their voices heard at Trivallis.”

Having only been at Trivallis a short amount of time, Kacey already has some stand out moments that she has enjoyed.

Kacey said: “My favourite parts so far have been getting to build relationships with our involved tenants, helping with organising TFEST, attending the TPAS Conference in Llandrindod Wells, and taking part in Collaborative Communication training. Also, working closely with Cormac Russel to gain an understanding of asset-based community development.

“I’m looking forward to seeing how the Tenant Connects Sessions project grows. It’s an exciting new project that I’m working on, getting more staff and involved tenants to come together to make changes at Trivallis.”

When talking about her role, learning whilst completing the work is really helping Kacey. Kacey describes how she is finding it: “As part of my apprenticeship I’m also studying my Level 3 Business Administration NVQ with Educa8 which I am enjoying. This programme is work based which I find easier as I am doing it on the job. This makes the study and work life balance, easier.”

Kacey is looking forward to seeing where the future takes her with hopes of a career in community work: “I am so grateful to have such a lovely team and management to support me through my apprenticeship. I’m looking forward to the future, having the opportunity to keep learning new skills and to progress in my career.

“I would like to pursue a career in community work and housing. This has been shaped by the training options that have become available to me and the opportunities I have had so far!”
