Penrhys regeneration moves forward with phase 1 plans

The future of Penrhys is taking shape! After months of planning, collaboration, and engagement with the community, we’re thrilled to announce the details of Phase 1 of the Penrhys regeneration project.

Our dedicated team of architects, planners, engineers, and housing specialists has been working tirelessly to develop a vision that reflects the needs and aspirations of residents. Now, we’re moving forward with a detailed planning application that sets the stage for an exciting transformation.

What’s Next?

The timeline for Phase 1 is as follows:

• Summer 2025 – Planning Application Submitted
• Spring/Summer 2026 – Construction Begins

Where Will Phase 1 Take Place?

Phase 1 will focus on the northwestern edge of the estate, within the perimeter road of Heol Pendyrus, incorporating areas of Pen Tyntyla and Heol Y Waun. Our approach ensures that Trivallis tenants currently living on the eastern side can transition smoothly into brand-new homes on the western side before further development continues.

To ensure that the regeneration meets the needs of the local community while creating a brighter future for Penrhys, we are bringing together residents, planners, architects, and Trivallis teams on a monthly basis.

These sessions provide a space for collaboration, feedback, and shared decision-making—ensuring that the voices of those already living in Penrhys shape its transformation. Our goal is to not only enhance the village for current residents but also attract more people and opportunities to the area, fostering a thriving and sustainable future.
