Trivallis unveils landmark strategies to drive positive change in tenant services, communities and homes

Community housing mutual Trivallis has announced the launch of three key strategies – Tenant Services, Communities and Homes – marking a significant milestone in its ongoing journey of transformation.

Over the past year, it has been on a path of change, engaging with staff, tenants, and its Board to redefine its mission and values. These new strategies are a direct outcome of those discussions and reflect its commitment to achieving its goals and living its values.

The Tenant Services Strategy is designed to improve Trivallis’ core services for tenants and communities. It lays out how the organisation will build stronger, more positive relationships with tenants and stronger links with communities by enhancing service delivery and responding to their needs more effectively. Crucial to this is a significant restructure of its Neighbourhood services to reduce patch sizes and pivoting to a culture of collaborative communication. Trivallis is also adopting a groundbreaking Team Around the Tenant methodology, providing an intensive, personalised housing management approach for tenants .

The Communities Strategy outlines its exciting vision for community development and regeneration. Shifting its emphasis to make community wellbeing a key driving force for its work, Trivallis has bold plans to foster community involvement, promote regeneration initiatives, and amplify the voices of those it serves, doing what it can to enable its communities thrive.

The Homes Strategy focuses on addressing the critical need for housing in its communities by delivering more quality homes for people. It outlines plans to meet growing demand and ensure that everyone has access to a safe, affordable place to live. Key initiatives include the development of a new village in Penrhys, one of the largest regeneration schemes South Wales has ever seen and bringing empty homes in Rhondda Cynon Taff back into use.

These strategies provide a clear direction for the future, establishing a roadmap for the next few years. Alongside these initiatives, frameworks and methodologies like Team Around the Tenant, Making Every Contact Count, and Collaborative Communications aim to significantly strengthen its service delivery and improve tenant relationships.

Looking ahead, Trivallis will be launching three additional strategies in the coming months, focusing on finance, data and digital, and people. It is encouraging all stakeholders to stay engaged and share their ideas as it continues its exciting journey of change.
