Penrhys Community Day

3 July 2025

The sun was shining and the community of Penrhys came together for a community day.

On Friday 20 June, the sun was shining and the community of Penrhys came together for a community day.

With a helping hand from Trivallis, RCT Council and contractors R&M Williams, everyone helped to make a positive difference in the area. The day was full of conversations, community spirit and action.

Members of the community rolled up their sleeves and got involved in the day. Whether that was having meaningful conversations, joining in with litter picking or simply offering to lend a hand where they could.

Whilst the Estates team focussed on cutting back overgrown areas and helping remove bulky waste items, filling up the skips. Community Housing Officers were out and about, chatting with residents, listening to their thoughts and being on hand to answer any questions.

Llanfair Church, that sits at the centre of the community was the base for the day. With a repairs drop in, where residents could raise a repair and speak with members from the teams to get any issues resolved.

It was also the place where everyone came together to enjoy lunch together, giving space for some great conversations to take place about the area.
