When is a settee not a settee?

Here's how Ty Pentre Eglwys in Cae Fardre are going from strength to strength.

A big thank you to Too Good To Waste for supporting Ty Pentre Eglwys by donating furniture and household items.

The community of Cae Fardre, has set up a new community initiative with the support of Trivallis. A team of volunteers have set up a community hub, where people can go for support through daily coffee mornings, food pantry and free school uniform.

The community came together, figured out what they needed to furnish the hub, and worked with Trivallis to make it happen.

Local PCSO Garron Evans also helped by reaching out to Too Good To Waste with a wish list from the community group to see if they could support with donations.

Members from Too Good To Waste thought it was a great initiative and donated several items including a settee, armchair, desk, and more.

The donations will help the group do even more for everyone in the area and has helped to make the hub look and feel more welcoming to the community.

Ty Pentre Eglwys has come so far over the last six weeks with the support of Lucy, Community Development Partner and Gavin, Neighbourhood Manager at Trivallis.

Lucy said: “I’m really happy for everyone in Cae Fardre. In such a short time, it’s become such an amazing space for the community, and that’s all thanks to the local people who made it happen.

“This is exactly how we want to work with our communities—helping people make changes for themselves that last. I can’t wait to see the impact the Ty Pentre Eglwys team will have; they’ve already done so much!”
