My Trivallis

We want all our shareholders to be able to join our Annual General Meeting. This year, you can participate either in person or online. The AGM is your chance to share your thoughts on how our Housing Association is managed and to vote for candidates running for the Community Mutual’s Board.

The business to be considered at the meeting shall be the ordinary resolutions: 

  1. The Board’s report on the affairs of the Community Mutual for the period ending 31 March 2024. 
  2. The annual report and accounts for the year ending 31 March 2024. 
  3. The re-appointment of external auditors Haines Watts. 
  4. Re-election of your Board members: Angela Priestley, Claire Hutcheon, Mark Richards, Martyn Price, William Oliver
  5. Election of new Board members: Martin Lewis, Julia Attwell 

General information 

We have sent letters to shareholders with instructions on how to access the AGM documents online. The letters also included a voting form and a link to join the online meeting. If you think you are a shareholder and did not get the link or the voting form, please send an email to agm@trivallis.co.uk. 

Shareholders can choose someone to represent them at the meeting. We can also help any shareholders who need assistance. If you want to vote before the meeting or choose a representative, please return your voting form by 11 am on Tuesday 20 August.

Elections

The following people are standing for re-election to the Board:

Angela Priestley

Angela joined the housing sector in 2010 and is the Head of Corporate Services at a large housing association in Wales. Responsible for corporate governance and compliance; risk management and internal audit; corporate strategy and performance, Angela is passionate about ensuring the highest levels of integrity, by supporting the Board and senior team to meet it’s legal and regulatory responsibilities. As the lead for business transformation, she has a constant eye on the needs of tenants and bringing about positive change, and how the organisation can strive for excellence in delivering first class services. In her role as a Board member at Trivallis, Angela is committed to influencing strategy and decisions that will improve the homes and communities of Trivallis, and to support the leadership team as it delivers ambitious plans to achieve positive outcomes for its tenants and the communities where they live.

Claire Hutcheon

Claire has worked for Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council for over 14 years and has worked in Education, Children’s Services and the Prosperity and Development Directorates during that time.  She is the Head of Housing Strategy and Investment and her role involves leading, managing and coordinating the Council’s strategic housing, building control and private sector housing grant services covering policy development and performance management.  Claire is passionate about ensuring residents of Rhondda Cynon Taf are involved in decision making and developing plans and strategies in order to deliver warm, safe, quality homes helping to regenerate communities.

Mark Richards

Mark started his career in the coal industry as a mining and building surveyor before spending some years working in a local authority and a large housing association, managing the maintenance of their housing stock. More recently he was Deputy Director General for Amgueddfa Cymru, until he moved into semi-retirement, and he is now delighted to return to housing with his appointment to the Board of Trivallis, where he chairs the Assets and Development Committee.

Martyn Price

Board Member and Chair of Finance and Investment Committee, joined 21/04/2021 (first term ends AGM 2024).
Martyn, who resides in Merthyr Tydfil, is a chartered accountant with over 30 years of experience in public and private sectors. He specialises in financial strategies, housing association funding, and customer-focused services which deliver value for money.

William Oliver

Will brings a wealth of experience from working in various senior leadership roles within NHS Wales. He is currently Assistant Director for NHS Wales Executive. He is passionate about addressing inequality and ensuring positive outcomes for people. Will values the importance of partnership working to deliver services that make a real difference. He has wide ranging experience of performance and quality improvement as well as strategic planning and risk management. He has been a Non Executive Director in the Housing, Care and Support sector for 9 years. Will also volunteers as Deputy Team Leader of Western Beacons Mountain Rescue Team. He is a Member of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care.

Julia Attwell

Julia is a senior leader and experienced Non Executive Director, working in the public, third and housing sectors. The majority of her career has been in Criminal Justice, primarily as an Assistant Chief Executive with the Wales Probation Services, where she held portfolios for Strategic and Business Planning, Governance, Contract Management, Project and Change Management, Learning & Development and front-line Operational Delivery. More recently she worked as Operations Manager for Mind Cymru, the amazing mental health charity and is now Head of the Change Hub at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board supporting major transformational change programmes. Julia sits on the board of YMCA Cardiff Housing Association and is an Executive Coach. She also enjoys her part-time role as a Registrar, conducting marriages for Bridgend County Borough Council. Julia is passionate about ensuring agencies work together in partnership to deliver better, more effective, more joined-up services.

Martin Lewis

Martin started his career as a planning officer in Hampshire, before moving back to South Wales to work in the housing sector. He has spent most of his working life in a major PLC environment, spending the last 14 years as Development Director at BDW ( Barratt David Wilson) Homes. Martin recently retired after 35 years in the housing sector . During this time he has been involved in the recruitment and development of new talent in the development sector and has mentored numerous individuals who have become senior managers within the industry. He is married with 3 children and two grandchildren but manages to find time to spend in the mountains with his two dogs.
