Quick fixes to save you time and get things sorted

We love hearing from our tenants, and we’re always here to help with the big stuff that needs our attention. But did you know there are a few common issues you can easily fix yourself? Taking care of these saves you time waiting on the phone and means we can focus on the things that really matter or be ready for when you truly need us.

Here are some common issues you can tackle:

• Turn off your mains water supply
  Got a leak? Find the stopcock (usually under the sink) and turn it off to stop the water flow.
• Reset trip switches
  Power gone in part of your home? Check the fuse box (consumer unit) and reset the tripped switch.
• Repressurise your boiler
  If your boiler shows a low-pressure error, look up the manual for your model and follow the steps to adjust it—it’s simpler than you think!
• Unblock your sink
  A clogged sink is often easy to fix with a plunger or by cleaning out the trap underneath.
• Change fluorescent tubes or bathroom lights
  For flickering or dead lights, switch off the power and replace the bulb or starter motor.
• Replace thermostat batteries
  If your thermostat isn’t working, new batteries might do the trick.
